The black-tie event, taking place at the Plaza, will honor major theatrical milestones of the last 100 years. The evening will include cocktails, an auction, dinner and a performance, which, according to a press statement, will feature "dozens of acclaimed performers from Broadway, the West End, and Hollywood." Benefits from the gala will support the League's educational initiatives, including the award-winning Director's Project. The program has helped launch the careers of Tony-winning directors Diane Paulus, Pam MacKinnon, Michael Mayer and John Rando.
Founded in 1916, The Drama League of New York is one of the oldest continuously-operating, not-for-profits arts advocacy and education organizations.
