News The Drama League Will Celebrate 100 Years with One-Night-Only Musical The Drama League announced that it will host its centennial gala Nov. 2, commemorating 100 years of service to the American theatre industry. The celebration will pay tribute to the legends of Broadway and will feature a one-night-only musical with a host of performers from around the world.

The black-tie event, taking place at the Plaza, will honor major theatrical milestones of the last 100 years. The evening will include cocktails, an auction, dinner and a performance, which, according to a press statement, will feature "dozens of acclaimed performers from Broadway, the West End, and Hollywood." Benefits from the gala will support the League's educational initiatives, including the award-winning Director's Project. The program has helped launch the careers of Tony-winning directors Diane Paulus, Pam MacKinnon, Michael Mayer and John Rando.

Founded in 1916, The Drama League of New York is one of the oldest continuously-operating, not-for-profits arts advocacy and education organizations.
