According to Amazon.com, the DVD — "The Fantastic World of Michael Crawford" — will be released Nov. 11. Tony Palmer directed the film, which was recorded during Crawford's stint in the Las Vegas extravaganza "EFX!"

"Michael Crawford has starred in some of the biggest box-office hits of all time," according to press notes. "This DVD is a behind-the-scenes intimate portrait of one of the funniest and most versatile actors, whose popularity in the United States outshines any other British entertainer in the last 30 years."

Michael Crawford was most recently on stage in the London production of The Woman in White. He was last on Broadway as Count von Krolock in the short-lived musical Dance of the Vampires. He won Tony and Olivier awards for his work in the title role of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera. He also received an Olivier for his performance in the London production of Barnum, and his screen credits include "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum," "How I Won the War" and "Hello, Dolly!" Crawford's solo recordings are numerous and include "Michael Crawford Performs Andrew Lloyd Webber," "A Touch of Music in the Night," "On Eagle's Wings," "Michael Crawford in Concert" and "Songs from the Stage and Screen."

"The Fantastic World of Michael Crawford" has a list price of $19.98. Pre-orders are currently being accepted on Amazon.com for $17.99.
