Brooklyn's Gallery Players will stage Douglas Carter Beane's sharp Broadway comedy The Little Dog Laughed and the musicals A Man of No Importance and Little Shop of Horrors during the 2012-2012 season.

The Little Dog Laughed, about a closeted Hollywood actor and his agent, will open the season Sept. 10-25. Following will be Academy Award winner Alan Menken and Howard Ashman's camp musical Little Shop of Horrors, which will run Oct. 22-Nov. 13.

Craig Lucas' Christmas-set comedy Reckless, which centers on a woman running for her life after her husband hires a hit man, will be staged Dec. 3-18. The musical A Man of No Importance, from the Tony-winning songwriting team of Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty and Tony-winning playwright Terrence McNally, will run Jan. 28-Feb. 19, 2012.

The final two productions will be Lorraine Hansberry's Pulitzer Prize-winning classic A Raisin in the Sun, running March 17-April 1, 2012; and the Tony-winning classic musical Wonderful Town, penned by Leonard Bernstein, Betty Comden and Adolph Green, which will run April 28-May 20, 2012.

The Gallery Players will also present its annual Black Box New Play Festival May 31-June 24, 2012.
