A DVD/video (PAL format) about the creation of the musical Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is now available from a host of London video outlets, include Dress Circle and Blackstar. Entitled "The Making of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang," the DVD is narrated by Sally Ann Howes, who played Truly Scrumptious in the original film, and gives viewers behind-the-scenes access to one of the West End's biggest hits. The DVD/video includes excerpts from such songs as "Hushabye Mountain," "Me Ol' Bamboo," "The Bombie Samba," "Doll on a Music Box"/"Truly Scrumptious" and the show's finale.

Some of the other features of the recording include interviews with the original London cast — Michael Ball, Emma Williams, Anton Rodgers, Brian Blessed and Richard O'Brien — and crew as well as the manufacturing of Chitty's flying car and the struggle to complete the show on time. For more information about the DVD/video, go to any of these sites: www.dresscircle.co.uk, www.amazon.co.uk or www.blackstar.co.uk.
