The Off-Broadway return of The Other Josh Cohen will end its extended run at the Westside Theatre April 7 instead of the previously announced April 28. The rock-and-roll romantic comedy, which began at the Westside last October, was originally scheduled to play through February 24 and later extended through the end of April.

In addition to the new closing date, producers have also announced an upcoming national tour, to launch in 2020. Cities and dates to come.

Directed by Hunter Foster, The Other Josh Cohen is written by and stars David Rossmer and Steve Rosen (Don’t Quit Your Night Job). The musical follows Josh, whose life seems to be going nowhere until the arrival of a mysterious letter.

Rounding out the current cast are Jane Bruce (Jagged Little Pill), Cathryn Wake (Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812), Elizabeth Nestlerode (Once), Luke Darnell (Million Dollar Quartet), Louis Tucci (Buddy), Zach Spound (Cruel Intentions: The Musical) and Megan Loomis (The Dead 1904).

The Other Josh Cohen premiered at the SoHo Playhouse in 2012 before heading to Paper Mill Playhouse in New Jersey.
