Two-time Tony Award nominee Howard McGillin, known for his starring roles in The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Anything Goes, as well as his record-breaking Broadway run in The Phantom of the Opera, will premiere his new nightclub act, Never Been Younger, at Birdland Jazz Club April 22 at 7 PM.

The evening promises “a trip to the musical fountain of youth with Broadway’s King of the Long Runs… McGillin will immerse the audience in the healing waters of the American songbook accompanied by his long-time music director Joseph Thalken.”

McGillin earned Tony Award nominations for his performances in The Mystery of Edwin Drood and the 1988 revival of Anything Goes opposite Patti LuPone. He made theatrical history with his record-breaking, 2,544-performance run in the title role of The Phantom of the Opera on Broadway. McGillin’s numerous stage appearances also include Sunday in the Park With George, Kiss of the Spider Woman, The Secret Garden, and She Loves Me.
