Performances run through Nov. 29 with an official opening night scheduled for Oct. 26.
Before Your Very Eyes traces the lives of seven characters in fast-forward, "from angst-ridden teens to hunched geriatrics," and all from "behind the safety of one-way mirrors" state press notes.
"As we adults try to stop the process of aging and preserve youth as long as we can, the children peer into the future and nostalgically back at their recent past, as they prepare to leave childhood behind forever," the description continues.
Tickets to the first performance are available for free via the Public’s First Performance "Free for All" lottery in parternship with TodayTix; winners will be notified via email and phone. A limited number of tickets are also being distributed via lottery today in the Public Theater box office at Astor Place at 425 Lafayette St.
