News THE SCREENING ROOM: Barbara Cook Receives Kennedy Center Honor (Video) Tony Award winner Barbara Cook was honored at the 34th annual Kennedy Center Honors, which aired Dec. 27 on CBS.

The evening, hosted by Caroline Kennedy, also celebrated singer and songwriter Neil Diamond, cellist Yo-Yo Ma, saxophonist and composer Sonny Rollins and actress Meryl Streep.

Singer-actress Cook was honored Dec. 4 on the Kennedy Center Opera House stage along with Diamond, Ma, Rollins and Streep. President Barack Obama addressed the five recipients, acknowledging their contributions to the arts.

As previously reported, the tribute to Cook featured performances from Tony winner Patti LuPone, Tony winner Audra McDonald, Tony winner Glenn Close, Tony nominee Rebecca Luker, Tony nominee Kelli O'Hara, Tony winner Sutton Foster and Bonnie & Clyde's Laura Osnes. To read more, click here.
