The Stevie Wonder concert was the fourth in the Broadway Sings… series; Broadway Sings Beyoncé was held in December 2012, Broadway Sings Michael Jackson was offered in September 2012, and Broadway Sings Adele was held in April 2012.

Broadway Sings… will celebrate the music of the late Amy Winehouse in September.

At Broadway Sings Stevie Wonder, Broadway performers were accompanied by a full jazz band playing brand-new, original orchestrations of the soul icon's greatest hits.

The music was directed, orchestrated and arranged by Joshua Stephen Kartes. Hands on a Hardbody's Mach produced the event.
