News THE SCREENING ROOM: Newsies, Anything Goes, Sister Act, Priscilla, Memphis, Spider-Man Perform at Thanksgiving Day Parade (Video) Broadway's best made their way over to Herald Square to perform in the 85th Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade Nov. 24. NBC's Matt Lauer, Ann Curry and Al Roker hosted the event.

The Broadway-bound musical Newsies was the first to hit the streets to perform the second-act opening number, "King of New York." Kara Lindsay, who plays Katherine Plumber in the stage adaptation, joined the newsboys for a preview of the musical that is scheduled to hit Broadway in March 2012.

Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark, which celebrates its first anniversary on Broadway Nov. 28, performed a medley of numbers from the show, which included "Bouncing Off the Walls," "Spider-Man" and "A Freak Like Me Needs Company," and featured the show's original stars, Reeve Carney and Patrick Page.

Tony Award nominee Tony Sheldon and Tony Award winner John Larroquette were also seen performing in the parade. Sheldon joined his Priscilla co-stars, Will Swenson and Nick Adams, for a mashup of "I Love the Nightlife" and "I Will Survive." Laroquette performed alongside How to Succeed in Business and "Harry Potter" star Daniel Radcliffe in "Brotherhood of Man."

Wrapping up the Broadway performances over at Macy's was Tony nominee Patina Miller and the cast of Sister Act. The musical performed "Spread the Love Around."

* Over on CBS at "The Thanksgiving Day Parade," Anything Goes offered "You're the Top," which featured temporary-Reno Sweeney, Stephanie J. Block, and original star Colin Donnell. Also, Adam Pascal, who recently took over the role of Huey Calhoun in the Tony-winning musical Memphis, performed "Radio."
