THE SCREENING ROOM: Remembering Nell Carter (Video) | Playbill

Special Features THE SCREENING ROOM: Remembering Nell Carter (Video)
Tony Award-winning actress Nell Carter would have turned 64 on Sept. 13, 2012, and is remembering the Ain't Misbehavin' star with some of our favorite video performances.

Here's a look at Carter on stage and screen.

Carter performs "Ain't Misbehavin'" and "Mean to Me."

Carter sings "Aquarius" at the 1986 Tony Awards.

Carter singing "On Broadway."

Performing Steve Winwood's "Back in the High Life."

During this exciting medley, Carter performs "Memory" from Cats at the 1986 Tony Awards.

Cater sings "Get Some Cash For Your Trash" from Ain't Misbehavin'.

Singing "Friend Like Me" from "Aladdin" at the Academy Awards.

We were particularly excited to find this clip of Carter performing the theme song from "The Mary Tyler Moore Show."

Dolly Parton and Carter perform "Operator" and "I'll Fly Away."

And we couldn't leave out the theme song from "Gimme A Break."
