News THE SCREENING ROOM: "Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again" and "Masquerade" from Phantom Anniversary (Video) Sierra Boggess starred as Christine Daaé in the 25th anniversary production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera at London's Royal Albert Hall. Here is a peek at the leading lady performing "Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again."

Boggess played opposite Ramin Karimloo, who starred in the title role at the Royal Hall production, which ran Oct. 1-2 and was filmed for release on DVD and Blu-Ray. Karimloo and Boggess, who originated the same roles in Lloyd Webber's Phantom sequel, Love Never Dies, have also previously played them in Phantom in London and Las Vegas, respectively.

Featuring a 200-strong company and orchestra, Phantom featured Barry James as Monsieur Firman, Gareth Snook as Monsieur André, Liz Robertson as Madame Giry and Wynne Evans as Piangi. Here, the production also offers a look at the ensemble performing "Masquerade."

Produced by Cameron Mackintosh, the production was directed by Laurence Connor with musical staging and choreography by Gillian Lynne.

The Phantom of the Opera “tells the story of a masked figure who lurks beneath the catacombs of the Paris Opera House, exercising a reign of terror over all who inhabit it,” according to production notes. “He falls madly in love with an innocent young soprano, Christine, and devotes himself to creating a new star by nurturing her extraordinary talents and by employing all of the devious methods at his command.”
