News The Testosterone Plays Will Be Seen at the WorkShop Theater in November BALLS! The Testosterone Plays of Monica Bauer will look at marriage (both gay and straight) from the male perspective Nov. 19-Dec. 5 at the Workshop Theater.

John D. FitzGibbon will direct.

The first one-act play of the evening, Two Men Walked Into a Bar, will follow two Marines, one a veteran of the war in Vietnam, one of the Iraq war, as they meet in an Alabama bar at 3 AM to face off over their wives. Aaron Gonzalez, Nick Ruggeri and John Fico will star.

Fico will play four roles in the second play, Made for Each Other, a bittersweet romance that moves quickly under the shadow of Alzheimer's. The play appeared in the recent Planet Connections Theatre Festivity, where it was nominated for Outstanding Solo Show, with Fico getting a nod for Best Actor in a solo show.

A special panel discussion, organized by Bauer, will take place Nov. 21 after the 3 PM matinee. The panel, "Women Off-Off Broadway," will feature Tessa LaNeve, literary manager at Primary Stages; Gloria Kadigan, founder of the Planet Connections Theatre Festivity; and more discussing how Off-Off Broadway has evolved in supporting the development of new works by women. A network reception will also be a part of this event.

The WorkShop Theater is located at 321 West 36th Street. For tickets ($18), visit brownpapertickets.com.
