Performances begin January 13 for the world premiere of The Thing with Feathers, a new play by Scott Organ about an underage teenager who is seduced by an older man on the internet. The Barrow Group Theater Company production is directed by co-artistic director Seth Barrish in TBG’s mainstage theatre.

The Thing With Feathers will officially open January 22 and is scheduled to play through February 10.

The cast is made up of Zachary Booth (The Winslow Boy, Damages), DeAnna Lenhart (Point Last Seen, Phoenix), Robert Manning, Jr. (Magic/Bird, Blue Bloods), and Alexa Shae Niziak (Matilda the Musical, A Christmas Story the Musical).

The production features set design by Edward T. Morris, costume design by Kristin Isola, lighting design by Solomon Weisbard, and prop design by Addison Heeren. The production stage manager is Allison Raynes.

Organ’s plays include Phoenix, which premiered at the Humana Festival of New American Plays and was produced with TBG and Rattlestick at Cherry Lane Theater.
