If you're looking all over New York and Los Angeles on June 1 for celebrities and you can't find any, it's probably because they're all gathered at a benefit for the charity A.L.S., taking place at NY's Roseland at 6:30 PM (EST).

Hosted by Ben Stiller and chaired by Stiller, Jane Alexander, William Baldwin and Simon Halls, the evening will feature appearances by such theatre/film notables as Matthew Broderick, Judy Kuhn, Kristen Johnston, David Marshall Grant, Mary Stuart Masterson, Anne Meara, Penelope Ann Miller, Sarah Jessica Parker, Ron Rifkin, David Strathairn and Marisa Tomei.

If that's not impressive enough, the Benefit Committee lists such notables as producers Tony Adams and Daryl Roth, playwright Peter Hedges, Julie Andrews, Nathan Lane, Alec Baldwin and Frances McDormand.

A.L.S. (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) is a neurological disease that progressively inhibits speech, movement and breathing.

Tickets for the benefit, which also comes with dinner and an auction, range from $250 to $1,000. For information call (212) 969-0329. -- By David Lefkowitz
