Feinstein’s/54 Below’s concert development series, 54 Concert Lab, will return to the nightclub venue this fall, and submissions are currently being accepted. Ten emerging artists will be picked by Feinstein’s/54 Below to develop new solo concerts and learn the ins and outs of concert producing.

At 54 Concert Lab, according to the venue, “Selected artists build new shows from scratch; pitching the show at a kick off event, performing in four separate workshops that focus on one specific element of a concert—opening numbers, medleys, etc., and culminating in a 20-minute preview piece performed in a showcase for Feinstein’s/54 Below staff and other industry panelists.”

Each installment of the Concert Lab will feature a different celebrity guest host (to be announced), and throughout the series, artists will receive feedback from those guest hosts, staff and other artists.

To submit, visit and fill out the Concert Lab application. Submissions are due September 9 at midnight. Applications require a performance video (1-3 minutes past performance, reel or something more casual), show pitch video (90 seconds or less) and show description as well as answers to questions regarding applicant’s goals, ability to effectively promote their shows and availability.

54 Concert Lab is a part of Late Night at Feinstein’s/54 Below and is produced by Emily Essig. All performances will take place between September 20-December 31; specific dates are to be announced. Concerts with more than one performer may be considered to be a part of the program on a case-by-case basis. Artists must provide their own accompaniment.
