The 7-9:30 PM evening, which celebrates the "shared spirit of the culinary and theatre arts," kicks off with delicacies prepared by such top New York chefs as Gray Kunz, Cedric Tovar, Nancy Olson, Patricia Yeo, Jehangir Mehta, Kerry Heffernan, Alex Guarnaschelli, Josh DeChellis, Michael Cressotti and Angus McIndoe. Cocktails and classic wines will also be served with the dishes.
The second portion of the gala will feature songs, skits and readings from a host of theatre favorites, including Deborah S. Craig, Manoel Felciano, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Euan Morton. Trip Cullman directs these food-inspired acts.
Silent and live auctions will also be part of the evening. All proceeds will benefit The Play Company's artistic programs.
The Public Theater is located at 425 Lafayette Street. Tickets are priced $200 and $2,500-$5,000 for a VIP table. For reservations call (212) 398-2977 or e-mail Phillip Guttman at [email protected].
