Jekyll & Hyde's Rob Evan returns to the China Club nightclub in midtown Manhattan for one performance April 25 at 8:00 PM. Backed by an eight piece band led by China Club Artistic Director Neil Berg, Evan will sing a mixture of Broadway tunes (including some Wildhorn signature songs) and contemporary ballads.
Evan, currently starring as Jekyll and Hyde on Broadway, made his debut in Les Miserables, where he played Jean Valjean, a role he first acted on the national tour. Other credits include Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar, Anatoly in Chess, Tommy in Brigadoon and The Red Shadow in Desert Song. Evan can be heard on the cast recordings of Jekyll & Hyde, Zorro and The Civil War. His debut solo recording, "Moments," will be released summer '99.
Featured guests for the evening's performance will be Evan's Jekyll co-star Christiane Noll and Side Show's Norm Lewis. Noll most recently appeared in the York Theatre Company's Little By Little and Lewis in Manhattan Theatre Club's Captains Courageous.
Tickets for the one night only show are $50 and include two drinks. Reservations can be made by contacting the concert hotline at (212) 946-6301. The China Club is located at 268 West 47th Street.
