News Thorell, Rossmer and Ghebremichael Join Czar of Rock and Roll Concert Casting is now complete for the April 6 Joe's Pub concert presentation of Lewis Black and the late Rusty Magee's The Czar of Rock and Roll.

Newcomers to the cast include Clarke Thorell (Hairspray), David Rossmer (Fiddler on the Roof and Asmeret Ghebremichael (Legally Blonde). Evan Cabnet directs the 7 PM concert.

The Czar of Rock and Roll, according to Joe's Pub notes, tells the story of "Eugene Reeves, a small-town American boy who became the biggest rock star in the Soviet Bloc. From his humble beginnings as 'The Singing Dishwasher' in Nevada, to his hit record as 'The Groovey Gringo' in South America, to his Soviet superstardom as 'The Czar of Rock and Roll,' Eugene's story is an international rock epic about one man's search for Marxism, music, and the hottest women on the far side of the Iron Curtain."

Czar of Rock and Roll premiered at Houston's Alley Theatre in 1990. Tickets, priced $20, are available by visiting www.joespub.com. Joe's Pub is located within the Public Theater at 425 Lafayette Street.
