News Thousands of Theatrical Costumes On Sale to Public Oct. 26-28 Nearly 20,000 theatrical costumes and accessories will be on sale to the public Oct. 26-28.

The "moving sale" is due to the relocation of Theatre Development Fund's Costume Collection. The Collection, which had been housed on the 17th floor of 601 West 26th for 30 years, is moving to a smaller space on the third floor of that same building.

The sale, according to a press statement, will feature "costumes from all periods, as well as many accessories that were donated over the years by Broadway and Off-Broadway productions, opera companies and individuals."

The sale will begin at 10 AM Oct. 26. On that first day, shoppers may purchase bags for $20 each and can fill their bags with any costumes in the warehouse. On Oct. 27 shopping bags will cost $10. On Oct. 28 bags will be free of charge.

The TDF Costume Collection is currently located at 601 West 26th Street on the 17th floor. Visit www.tdf.org for more information.

* The TDF Costume Collection is a program of Theatre Development Fund, a not-for-profit service organization of the performing arts.
