News Three-Actor Crime and Punishment Opens in Seattle April 3
Marilyn Campbell and Curt Columbus' three-actor stage adaptation of Dostoyevsky's Crime and Punishment officially opens at the Intiman Theatre April 3.

The 90-minute production, under the direction of Sheila Daniels, began performances March 29 and continues through May 3 in Seattle.

Crime and Punishment features cast members Hana Lass (Sonia), Galen Joseph Osier (Raskolnikov) and Todd Jefferson Moore (Inspector Porfiry).

The design team includes Carey Wong (set design), Melanie Taylor Burgess (costume design), Dans Maree Sheehan (lighting design), Joseph Swartz (sound design) and Peter Dylan O'Connor (fight choreographer).

"Raskolnikov, a poor student," press notes state, "murders two women in an attempt to prove that he is one of the 'extraordinary' people: those who have the right to kill. As he is interrogated by Inspector Porfiry, flashbacks reveal the murderer’s life and relationships — particularly his love for Sonia, a young woman who represents his one hope for redemption — and the deeper psychological motives for his crime."

Tickets for productions at the Intiman, 201 Mercer Street at Seattle Center, can be purchased by calling (206) 269-1900. For more information visit
