Richard Greenberg's Three Days of Rain, the darkly funny play about children imagining and exploring the secret pasts of their parents, began previews at the Steppenwolf Theatre Company Feb. 11 and opens there Feb. 21.

In the play, a famous architect's will prompts their children and their best friend to speculate about their families' history. The play continues to Apr. 4, with Anna D. Shapiro directing cast members in dual child parent roles.

Amy Morton plays Nan and Lina, Tracy Letts plays Walker and Ned and Ian Barford plays Pip and Theo.

Designers are Todd Rosenthal (scenic), Christine Solger-Binder (lighting), Allison Reeds (costume) and Rob Milburn & Michael Bodeen (composition and sound).

Greenberg's works includes Hurrah at Last, Night and Her Stars, The Extra Man, The American Plan, Eastern Standard, The Author's Voice, The Maderati and Life Under Water. He is also working on a new book for the musical, Pal Joey. He is a graduate of Yale School of Drama.
