Beginning Jan. 24, 2011, Through the Night will be presented on Monday nights at the Westside Theatre Downstairs (407 W. 43rd Street).
In a statement producer Daryl Roth said, "Because of my deep belief in this work, the incredible critical response, the nightly standing ovations, and the powerful word of mouth, it was important to me to continue to provide a home for this extraordinary theatrical experience. Through The Night has reached so many people already, including some two-thousand students through our Shine the Light Program. I am confident there are many more who will be entertained, moved and inspired by the play's power and passion."
Charles Randolph-Wright directs the solo work that tells the story of six African-American males, ages 10-60, "who discover the power of possibility through one extraordinary event."
The production features scenic, projection and lighting design by Alexander V. Nichols and sound design and original music by Lindsay Jones.
Through the Night is produced in association with Jana Robbins.
Tickets, priced $39 ($25 with valid student I.D.), will go on sale on Dec. 17 via Telecharge.com or (212) 239-6200.
