Joining the previously announced Christiane Noll (as the Baker's Wife) will be Aida's Thursday Farrar as the Witch, the role created on Broadway by Bernadette Peters. The award-winning musical will play the Lucie Stern Theatre in Palo Alto, CA, Nov. 30, 2005-Jan. 7, 2006.

The Into the Woods company will also feature Tielle Baker as Rapunzel, Cristin Boyle as Cinderella, Robert Brewer as Jack, Jackson Davis as the Baker, Alison Ewing as Florinda, Suzanne Grodner as the Stepmother, Michael Hunsaker as Cinderella's Prince, James Monroe Iglehart as the Wolf/Steward, Francis Jue as the Narrator, Patrick Leveque as Rapunzel's Prince, Gary S. Martinez as Mysterious Man, Maureen McVerry as Jack's Mother, Bill Olson as Milky White, Martin Rojas-Dietrich as Cinderella's Father, Kristen Sharpley as Cinderella's Mother and Sleeping Beauty, Courtney Stokes as Little Red Riding Hood and Kristin Stokes as Snow White with Molly Bell, Dann Howard and Angela Layfield in the ensemble.

Thursday Farrar has been seen on Broadway in Aida, Once Upon a Mattress and Parade and Off-Broadway in As Thousands Cheer as well as in the City Center Encores! mountings of Li'l Abner and St. Louis Woman. She received a Drama-Logue Award for her work in Harmony and was seen in the national tours of Carousel and Dreamgirls. Farrar's screen credits include "All My Children," "Cosby Mysteries," "Basketball Diaries" and "City Hall."

With book and direction by James Lapine and a score by Stephen Sondheim, Into the Woods originally opened at Broadway's Martin Beck Theatre on Nov. 5, 1987, playing 765 performances before closing Sept. 3, 1989. The original Broadway company boasted Bernadette Peters, Chip Zien, Robert Westenberg, Joanna Gleason, Tom Aldredge, Barbara Bryne, Kim Crosby, Chuck Wagner and Ben Wright. The musical won Tonys for Best Book, Best Score and Best Actress in a Musical (Gleason).
