News Tix Now On Sale for Off-Broadway's Freud's Last Session As previously reported, Mark St. Germain's Freud's Last Session — the two-character "what-if" play about the imagined meeting of Sigmund Freud and author C.S. Lewis — will play a return engagement at the Barrington stage Company in Pittsfield, MA, June 22-July 3 before arriving Off-Broadway.

Following its run at BSC Stage 2, the drama will begin performances at The Marjorie S. Deane Little Theater at the West Side Y July 9 with an official opening scheduled for July 22.

Mark H. Dold and Martin Rayner co-star under the direction of Tyler Marchant.

Freud's Last Session, according to press notes, "centers on legendary psychiatrist Dr. Sigmund Freud (Martin Rayner), who invites a young, rising academic star C.S. Lewis (Mark H. Dold), to his home in London. Lewis, expecting to be called on the carpet for satirizing Freud in a recent book, soon realizes Freud has a much more significant agenda. On the day England enters World War II, Freud and Lewis clash on the existence of God, love, sex and the meaning of life—only two weeks before Freud chooses to take his own."

The play is based on Dr. Armand Nicholi's "The Question of God," which was presented as a two-part PBS television presentation in 2004.

The production will feature scenic design by Brian Prather, with costume design by Mark Mariani, lighting design by Clifton Taylor and sound design by Beth Lake. Freud's Last Session is being presented Off-Broadway by Carolyn Rossi Copeland, Robert Stillman and Jack Thomas.

Show times will be Tuesdays at 7 PM, Wednesdays-Saturdays at 8 PM with matinees Wednesdays and Saturdays at 2 PM and Sundays at 3 PM.

The Marjorie S. Deane Little Theater at the West Side Y is located in Manhattan at 10 West 64th Street. Tickets are $65 and are available at www.Theatermania.com or by calling (866) 811-4111. A limited number of $20 Student Rush tickets (with valid student ID) will be available at the box office beginning three hours prior to each performance.
