The Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures film will be the third Batman movie directed by Christopher Nolan, following "Batman Begins" in 2002 and "The Dark Knight" in 2008.
The cast of "The Dark Knight Rises" also features Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle (Catwoman), Tom Hardy as Bane and Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman.
The film is set for release July 20, 2012.
Conti received a Tony Award in 1979 for his performance in Whose Life is it Anyway? and was also seen on Broadway in Last Licks. Modine was last seen on Broadway in The Miracle Worker.
