"We're developing Freaky Friday with Disney [with book writer] Bridget Carpenter and [director] Christopher Ashley," Kitt told Playbill.com June 8 on the Tony Awards red carpet. "And, we’re also developing Magic Mike."

Yorkey added, "Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa is writing the book [for Magic Mike], and the producers are fantastic, and they want it to happen as soon as possible, so I don't think your mom is going to have to wait all that long for Magic Mike… and the moms around the world, and a certain percentage of the dads!"

The writers, Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize winners for Next to Normal, who penned the new Broadway musical If/Then with Tony winner Idina Menzel in mind — also shared their bucket list of stars they wanted to work with.

"I said the other day, definitely Hugh Jackman," Kitt shared. "I'd love to write a musical for Hugh Jackman."

Yorkey added, "I wrote Neil Patrick Harris a fan letter and said, 'If you wanted us to write you a musical, just let us know.'" Yorkey said that Harris has yet to respond.

If/Then is nominated for Best Original Score and Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical (Menzel).
