As previously reported, APAC is devoting a portion of its 2011-2012 season to new works. The company has earned acclaim for its intimate revivals of such musicals as Ragtime, The Human Comedy and Children of Eden, as well as the Tony-winning drama The Pillowman. Tom Wojtunik is artistic director.

May Adrales (Edith Can Shoot Things And Hit Them) will stage A Hard Wall at High Speed, which officially opens Nov. 5 and will play through Nov. 30 at the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church.

The cast includes Tom O’Keefe ("CSI") as Donnie, Sarah Kate Jackson ("Bride Wars," God's Waiting Room) as June, Johnny Pruitt ("30 Rock," Dead Man Walking) as Trout and Ryan Templeton as Marcy.

According to APAC, "Donnie Cole is a Floridian with the ideal existence: he’s a charter pilot who loves to fly planes – he has the perfect family, owns his home, and basks in the respect of his community. But when he misjudges a situation at work, an unexpected burst of media attention turns an uneasy community against him. A play about one man's mistake, and how it changed the nation, A Hard Wall At High Speed asks how we heal, how we forgive, and how far we've come."

The production will have scenic design by Stephen K. Dobay, costume design by Becky Bodurtha, lighting design by Cat Tate Starmer and sound and original composition by Nathan Roberts. Lizzy Lee is stage manager. Halfnight's plays include Balaton, Good Pictures, God's Waiting Room, Diving Normal and Artifacts of Consequence. His upcoming films include "Northbound" and a screen adaptation of "Diving Normal."
