News Tom Wopat, James Remar, James Russo Cast in Quentin Tarantino's Upcoming "Django Unchained" Film Tony Award nominee Tom Wopat has signed on to be part of the cast of Quentin Tarantino's upcoming film "Django Unchained," according to Variety.

James Remar (Bent, "Dexter"), James Russo (Off-Broadway's Extremities) and Todd Allen have also joined the cast, which includes Kerry Washington (Race), Jamie Foxx, Samuel L. Jackson (The Mountaintop), Christoph Waltz ("Carnage") and Leonardo DiCaprio. In "Django Unchained," Washington will play the role of Broomhilda, the wife of long-suffering slave Django (Foxx). Django is freed by a bounty hunter (Waltz) and sets out to rescue his wife from a brutal Mississippi plantation owner, Calvin Candie (DiCaprio).

Remar and Russo have been cast as slave-trading brothers, Ace and Dicky Speck. Allen will play plantation overseer Dollar Bill, and Wopat has been cast as Marshall Gill Tatum.

Wopat was nominated for Tony Awards for his performances in Annie Get Your Gun and A Catered Affair. The performer was most recently seen on Broadway in Catch Me If You Can and has also appeared in Sondheim on Sondheim, Glengarry Glen Ross, 42nd Street and Chicago, among others.
