News Tommy Tune and Manhattan Rhythm Kings to Play Brooklyn Center in November Nine-time Tony Award winner Tommy Tune will launch the Headliners Series at the Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts, Nov. 14 at 3 PM, with Steps in Time: A Broadway Biography in Song and Dance.

Tune's longtime collaborators, the Manhattan Rhythm Kings, will assist in Tune's "personal look back at his incredible career, featuring timeless standards, elegant choreography, and his own unique charm and warm-hearted humor," according to press notes. Tune has received two Tony Awards as a performer (Best Actor in a Musical for My One and Only and Best Featured Actor in a Musical for Seesaw), four as a choreographer (A Day in Hollywood/A Night in the Ukraine, My One and Only, Grand Hotel and The Will Rogers Follies) and three as a director (Nine, Grand Hotel and The Will Rogers Follies). He has also directed The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Stepping Out and The Best Little Whorehouse Goes Public for Broadway, and served as production supervisor for the 1994 revival of Grease. He recently directed the new musical Turn of the Century at The Goodman Theatre in Chicago. He began his career as a dancer in How Now Dow Jones, A Joyful Noise and Baker Street. Film credits include "Hello, Dolly!," "The Boy Friend" and "Hollywood Blvd."
