The evening, which is titled Douglas Hodge As a Man, begins at 7 PM. Musical director Sonny Paladino leads a four-piece band.
Hodge is a three-time Olivier-nominated classical actor, who is currently playing Albin in La Cage aux Folles at the Longacre Theatre. For this role, he has won the Tony, the Olivier, the Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle awards.
Hodge is also a songwriter; the Birdland concert features tunes from his two albums, "Nightbus" and "Cowley Road Songs," as well as songs from his new musical Meantime.
