News Tony Winner Glover Brings Improvography II to Brooklyn Tap sensation Savion Glover will perform Improvography II Oct. 15 at the Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts.

Savion Glover

The evening features Glover as well as a troupe of tap dancers and a live jazz/funk band. The 8 PM performance alternates improvisation with choreography. Savion Glover made his Broadway debut in The Tap Dance Kid. He received a Tony Award for Best Choreography for Bring in 'Da Noise, Bring in 'Da Funk, which also brought him a Tony nomination for Best Actor in a Musical. Glover's other Broadway credits include Black and Blue (Tony nomination) and Jelly's Last Jam. His film credits include "Tap" and Spike Lee's "Bamboozled." Glover recently established Chapter IV, the group of dancers — Maurice Chestnut, Ashley DeForest and Cartier Williams — who tour with Improvography.
