News Tony Winner Jbara Will Embrace Billy Elliot Again Gregory Jbara will return to the role of Dad — the part that won him a Tony Award — in Broadway's Billy Elliot on May 4.

Jbara, who won the 2009 Tony Award for Best Featured Actor, took a leave of absence from the show in January. Philip Whitchurch will play his final performance as Dad on May 2.

Jbara originated roles in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (Drama Desk nomination), Victor/Victoria, Damn Yankees and was Chicago's second Billy Flynn. Visit www.GregoryJbara.com.

Billy Elliot, the tale of a working class community and a boy who wanted to be a ballet dancer, features music by Elton John, book and lyrics by Lee Hall, choreographed by Peter Darling and direction by Stephen Daldry. It won the Tony Award for Best Musical.

Broadway performances continue at the Imperial Theatre on West 45th Street. A national tour just launched in Chicago.
