The original closing date for the Kathleen Marshall-directed revival of the transatlantic, shipboard musical by Cole Porter was to be July 31, but enthusiastic reviews and robust sales (and Tony Awards for the production, star Sutton Foster and Marshall's choreography) have prompted an extension to Jan. 8, 2012.
Roundabout Theatre Company presents Anything Goes, starring 2011 Best Actress Tony Award winner Foster as Reno Sweeney and Tony and Academy Award winner Joel Grey as Moonface Martin.
Bishop's breakout role, after years of working in the business, was Sheila in Michael Bennett's A Chorus Line, for which she won Tony (Best Featured Actress in a Musical) and Drama Desk Awards (Outstanding Actress in a Musical). Her other Broadway plays include Neil Simon's Proposals, The Last Night of Ballyhoo and Six Degrees of Separation at Lincoln Center. For seven years, she was Emily Gilmore on TV's "The Gilmore Girls."
