Zeva Barzell is the associate director for the musical, which runs Feb. 27-March 1 and March 12-22. Douglas Levine is music director. Parade features music and lyrics by Jason Robert Brown and a book by Alfred Uhry. The musical, according to press notes, is "the true story of Leo Frank, a Jewish factory owner whose life is turned upside down after being accused of a heinous crime. The 1913 trial, exploited by the media, provoked anti-Semitic tensions in Atlanta and the state of Georgia. The trial ignites a deep love between Frank and his wife, out of what once was an unfeeling arranged marriage. This intense and deeply emotional story is a testament to the strength of marital love and an introspective look into race relations, prejudice and a justice system gone awry."

Under the direction of Harold Prince and choreography of Patricia Birch, Parade opened at the Vivian Beaumont Dec. 17, 1998. The musical won Tony Awards for Best Book of a Musical and Best Original Musical Score.

Michael Rupert, most recently on Broadway in Legally Blonde the Musical, won a Tony and a Drama Desk Award for his work in the revival of Sweet Charity. He also received a Tony nomination for his performance in William Finn's Falsettos, and his other Broadway credits include Ragtime, The Happy Time, City of Angels, Mail, Shakespeare's Cabaret and Pippin. He also penned the musical Streets of America with Matthew Riopelle.
