Pinkins and Adams will each sing a 30-minute set of their favorite Broadway songs.
The event is free of charge and open to the public.
ITLP is a non-profit organization founded in 2005 by theatre director and educator Stephen DiMenna and Marianna Houston dedicated to "helping children and young adults in developing countries work their way out of poverty through theatre workshops that empower young people to be leaders in their communities, increase their English literacy skills and develop a sense of social justice and gender equity." Visit www.itlp.org for more information.
Reservations can be made at [email protected] or by calling (212) 620-7128. Donations will be accepted to help support ITLP's programs in Africa (Tanzania, Rwanda and South Africa) and India.
* The event also includes a selection of Italian wines and appetizers provided by Danielle Kucera, owner of Etcetera Etcetera, a silent auction that includes Broadway theatre tickets and dinner packages, and a screening of a short documentary film by Rei Green ("Gunhill Road") about the ITLP workshops in the townships in South Africa in 2012.
