News Tony-Winning Orchestrator Jonathan Tunick Will Be Up Close & Personal at Birdland Musical director, orchestrator and composer Jonathan Tunick will take part in Up Close & Personal, an in-depth conversation with the Oscar, Tony, Emmy and Grammy Award winner, Sept. 13 at Birdland.

Presented by the American Society of Music Arrangers & Composers (ASMAC) and the American Society of Composers, Authors & Publishers (ASCAP), the event will be hosted by ASMAC president Larry Blank. Tunick's other Broadway credits include Promises, Promises; Dames at Sea; A Little Night Music; A Chorus Line; Sweeney Todd; Nine; Into the Woods; Nick & Nora; Phantom; The Color Purple; Marie Christine; The Wind in the Willows; Road Show; and Paradise Found, among others.
