Second star to the right and straight down the stairs at Feinstein’s/54 Below is where you’ll find two of the cast members from Broadway’s recently departed Finding Neverland. Chris Dwan, who played the endearing assistant, Elliot, to producer Charles Frohman in Neverland, makes his New York City solo concert debut with his show Waste of Space – A Boy’s Journey Through The Cosmos.

The show plays September 6 at the midtown supper club.

Unlike other cabarets, the event is described as “a cerebral exploration of self-discovery and the power of imagination through the eyes of a boy on a journey beyond the cosmos.” The show features original material by Dwan and Ross Baum. Conceived by Dwan and Will Blum (School of Rock, The Book of Mormon), the concert also features performances by Tony nominee Tony Yazbeck, with whom Dwan appeared alongside in Neverland and Harmony.

With musical direction by Will Van Dyke (Kinky Boots, Rent), the evening also includes performances by RANGE a cappella, Hannah Corneau (Evita, Daddy Long Legs), Angela Travino (South Pacific), Blum, Will Taylor (A Chorus Line) and Max Chernin (Bright Star).

A great young talent, Dwan has also been seen Off-Broadway in The Old Boy and Peter & I. As a member of RANGE a cappella, he has performed on Nickelodeon and in Kelly Clarkson’s Piece by Piece tour during its New York engagement at Radio City Music Hall.
