The Dorothy Parker Society will host the free reading and talk, which will take place at Revolution Books, located at 9 West 19 Street (between Fifth and Sixth Ave.) at 6:30 PM. Complimentary cocktails will be available for all attendees.

Tony Award winner Pinkins — who currently appears in Broadway's Radio Golf — and recent Coram Boy star (and current Tony nominee) Elbrick will honor the late author with readings from different pieces of her work.

Marion Meade, author of "Dorothy Parker: What Fresh Hell is This?," and Kevin C. Fitzpatrick, author of "A Journey into Dorothy Parker's New York," will also take part in the event. (Parker's actual death occurred on June 7, 1967.)

Parker — a famed writer, poet and member of the Algonquin roundtable — has been the subject of much attention on stage in recent years: Angela Lansbury performed a one-night benefit reading This Is on Me, An Evening of Dorothy Parker in November; her current Deuce co-star Marian Seldes played the wit in Dorothy Parker Gets the Last Word last May; and back in 2005, Peccadillo Theater Company produced Parker's own play The Ladies of the Corridor (penned with Arnaud d'Usseau).
