News Top Three "American Idol" Finalists Revealed "American Idol" finalist James Durbin was eliminated from the nation's biggest singing contest May 12 after he received the fewest of America’s votes.

On the May 11 broadcast the Top 4 performed two songs: one inspirational song and one from the American songwriting and producing duo of Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller. Durbin, 22, from Santa Cruz, CA, sang "Don’t Stop Believein'" and "Love Potion No. 9."

On May 18 at 8 PM ET, the Top 3 – Lauren Alaina, Scotty McCreery and Haley Reinhart – will perform three songs – one selected by the judges, one selected by in-house mentor Jimmy Iovine and one individual choice. Viewers will also get a peek at the trips the Top 3 took when they visited their hometowns.

On the May 19 results show, which also begins at 8 PM, TV watchers can expect performances by Italian trio Il Volo, who will offer “O Sole Mio,” and Nicole Scherzinger and 50 Cent, who will entertain with “Right There.”

Among the many "American Idol" finalists and/or winners who have appeared on Broadway are Fantasia, Justin Guarini, Jordin Sparks, Diana DeGarmo, Ace Young, Tamyra Gray, Constantine Maroulis, Frenchie Davis, Clay Aiken and Taylor Hicks.
