News Toronto Film Festival to Feature James Franco, Julie Taymor, Denzel Washington and More The Toronto International Film Festival, which will showcase 393 features and shorts from 70 countries, has announced its complete lineup.

The festival will present 143 world premieres when it begins Sept. 4. It will continue through Sept. 14.

Among the lineup is the North American premiere of James Franco's "The Sound and the Fury," adapted from James Faulkner's novel. Franco was last seen on Broadway in Of Mice and Men and recently directed the Off-Broadway production of The Long Shrift.

The festival will also feature post-screening Q&A sessions with Jon Stewart ("Rosewater"), Tony winner Denzel Washington and Antonie Fuqua ("The Equalizer"), Tony winner Julie Taymor ("A Midsummer Night’s Dream") and Reese Witherspoon ("Wild" and "The Good Lie").
