"We launched our season with the company's first 21st-century opera and met with fantastic success," said general director Richard Bradshaw in a statement.
Subscription sales have risen by 6.3 percent over the previous season, the COC said. The company's other fall production, Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor, also had 97 percent attendance.
The COC season continues in January with Robert McQueen's production of La bohme.
