The drama, which follows the goings-on at a suburban burger joint, will begin previews Nov. 9 toward an official opening of Nov. 17. Performances will run through Dec. 4. The Play Company and Page 73 production companies produce the run.
The cast will include Brandon Dirden (Enron), Philip Ettinger ("The Closer"), Aja Naomi King (Boleros for the Disenchanted), Alfredo Narciso (Drunken City) and Barrymore Award winner Tobias Segal (The Miracle Worker).
Here's how producers describe the play: "War sucks. Flipping burgers sucks harder. In new playwright Eliza Clark's suspenseful drama, it's just another morning at the suburban burger joint where Ruckus, Marco and Emma smoke up, talk smack, and — oh yeah — work. But when a bloodied stranger staggers in, the three teens are forced to choose sides in the grueling war advancing just outside the door."
Designing Edgewise will be Andromache Chalfant (set design), Jenny Mannis (costume design), Nicole Pearce (lighting design) and Bart Fasbender (sound design).
Clark's plays include Puppy and Recall. She is a member of the Ensemble Studio Theatre's Youngblood playwrights group. For tickets phone (212) 352-3101. Walkerspace is located at 46 Walker Street in Tribeca.
