True Colors artistic director Kenny Leon directs Feldshuh's 1992 Pulitzer Prize-nominated work, which is based on the historic and controversial Tuskegee Study. Performances began March 1 and will continue through March 21.

Guy appears as nurse Eunice Evers, who chronicles her experience as she attempts to assist four men participating in the 40-year study, which chronicled the often-fatal progress of untreated syphilis in a group of African American sharecroppers.

The cast also features Eugene Lee (Broadway's Gem of the Ocean), E. Roger Mitchell (Alliance Radio Golf), TC Carson, Bart Hansard, Eric Little and Enoch King.

From 1932-1972, the U.S. Public Health Service enlisted a group of African American farmers in Alabama to take part in a clinical study. Patients were never informed that they had syphilis, only told they had "bad blood." Even following the advent of penicillin to treat the disease, doctors withheld the drug from patients in order to observe the ravages of the disease over 40 years. It wasn't until the story was leaked to the press in the early 1970's that the moral implications of the study were made public and the government terminated the Tuskegee Study following public outcry.

Designing the production are Rochelle Barker (set design), Calvin Johnson (lighting design), Shilla Benning (costume design) and Chris Bartelski (sound design). Miss Evers' Boys has original music by Dwight Andrews and choreography by Patdro Harris. Miss Evers' Boys received its New York premiere with Tony winner Adriane Lenox in the title role and was later made into an Emmy-winning 1997 television movie.
