Broadway legend Tommy Tune and a group of Japan's top musical stars will perform a benefit concert sponsored by the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of New York, Inc. (JCCI).

Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall will present the celebration of Broadway musical numbers, Nov. 6 at 7:30, titled "Thank You, Broadway!" that mirrors prior benefits performed in Japan, in which all the proceeds were donated to support struggling New York theatre in the wake of the Sept. 11 attacks.

The four previous concerts in Japan contributed $50,000 to Broadway institutions through the Rodgers and Hammerstein Foundation and to the Theatre Development Fund. Six Japanese stars from the concerts — Takuya Kon, Yoko Kon, Kunio Murai, Ran Ohtori, Kaho Shimada and Koji Yamamoto — will join Tune, Manley Pope (Rent) and others that are expected to attend, namely Chita Rivera and Carol Channing.

The concert is presented in association with The Nippon Club and is part of the Celebration of JCCI's 70th Anniversary of continuing community involvement in NYC.

NY1's Roma Torre will serve as emcee and Broadway's Peter Howard will be musical director with Japanese pianist Ken Shima performing in the two-piano concert staging.   A limited number of seats to "Thank You, Broadway!" at Alice Tully Hall, will be available to the public for a donation to the Fund by calling ICP (International Cultural Productions) at (212) 265-1613.
