The TV show, which featured Academy Award nominee Eddie Albert (You Can't Take It With You, The Music Man) and Eva Gabor (Present Laughter, Little Glass Clock) as New Yorkers who living on a farm in the Midwest, was created and produced by Jay Sommers from the 1950s radio show. The sitcom ran on CBS from 1965-71.
The TV show followed Oliver Douglas and his wife Lisa as Oliver attempts to fulfill his dream of owning a farm.
The rights to the property were acquired by director Richard L. Bare, who was one of the most prolific helmers on the original series, and by producer Phillip Goldfine through his production company Hollywood Media Bridge.
A director/writer is being actively sought for the project.
