News Two-Time Oscar Nominee to Star in Carey Perloff's Kinship Premiere in Paris Théâtre de Paris, one of France’s most acclaimed theater companies, will present the world premiere of Carey Perloff’s Kinship to star two-time Academy Award nominee, Isabelle Adjani, beginning Oct. 21.

Kinship will be directed by Julien Collet-Vlaneck and has beeeveloped at the Perry Mansfield New Works Festival and New York Stage and Film, and most recently at Williamstown in a reading that featured Emmy, Grammy and Tony Award winner Cynthia Nixon and Penny Fuller.

The production is billed as follows, "Kinship tells the story of a forty-something married newspaper editor who falls in love with a younger man whom she has hired as a reporter at her paper. Their relationship evolves from a passionate, ecstatic mutual fixation to a fraught complicated power play, as She tries to contain her feelings within the boundaries of her professional landscape, and He struggles to believe that his presence at the paper is not due merely to her infatuation."

Théâtre de Paris’ production of Kinship will also star Carmen Maura (Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown,“Volver”) and French Canadian actor Nils Schneider.

The creative team will include Yves Collet (scenic design), Domenique Borg (costume design), Domenique Brughiere (lighting design), Olivier Schultheis (music) and Severine Magois (translation).
