News Two-Time Tony Nominee Will Star in Finger Lakes Will Rogers Follies; Casting Announced Two-time Tony nominee Tom Wopat – famed for his role as Luke Duke on “The Dukes of Hazzard” – will play the title role in the Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival production of The Will Rogers Follies.

Performances are scheduled for Sept. 3-24 at the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse in Auburn, NY.

In addition to Wopat as Will Rogers, the cast will also feature Elisa Van Duyne as Betty Blake, Steve Luker as Clem Rogers/US Will Rogers, Gabrielle McClinton as Ziegfeld's Favorite, Cid Roberts as Wrangler/Indian feature, Christopher Lengerich as Wrangler/Dance Captain, Liam James Daniels as Wrangler, Matthew Michael Uriniak as Wrangler, Chris McDaniel as Wrangler/Wiley/US Clem Rogers, Megan Peterson as Ziegfeld Girl/US Z's Favorite, Brittany Bigelow as Ziegfeld Girl/US Betty Blake, Kacie Rose Burns as Ziegfeld Girl, Priscilla Curtis as Ziegfeld Girl, Beth Ann Baker as Ziegfeld Girl, Catherine Hamilton as Ziegfeld Girl, Amy Lingenfelter as Ziegfeld Girl, Adrienne Weidert as Ziegfeld Girl, Callie Gullickson as Ziegfeld Girl, Nicole Davey as Ziegfeld Girl, Sera Bullis as James Rogers, Emma Degroff as Mary Rogers, Michael Ducayne as Will Rogers Jr. and Isabella Ducayne as Freddy Rogers.

“People surely know Tom from ‘The Dukes of Hazzard,’ ‘Cybill’ and his other television and movie appearances, but some may not know that he has earned two Tony nominations and starred in 11 Broadway shows,” said Brett Smock, the Festival’s producing artistic director, in a statement. “Tom is the perfect example of an artist who seamlessly crosses over from camera to stage. He will be an incredible Will Rogers. We’re excited to welcome him to the Festival and honored to have him on our stage.”

The Will Rogers Follies, according to press notes, "celebrates the life of famed humorist, performer and Oklahoma-native Will Rogers in this song and dance spectacular. Set within the famous Ziegfeld Follies, every scene and song in this musical comedy is a lavish production number allowing the audience to reminisce with one of America’s beloved folk heroes."
