News Understudies from Wicked, Spelling Bee and More Set for May 19 Underworld Benefit Broadway understudies will take centerstage May19 in Underworld, a benefit for MTWorks.

Slated for the 7:30 PM evening of song are David Garry (Company), Carly Hughes (25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee), Chelsea Krombach (Wicked), Lindsay Northen (Wicked), Jacqui Polk (Hairspray), Heather Spore (Wicked), Andrew Varela (Sunday in the Park with George), Katrina Yaukey (Company) and Catherine Walker (Mary Poppins). Underworld will be hosted by Spelling Bee's Law Tarello with staging by Elyzabeth Gorman. The concert takes place at the D-Lounge, located beneath the Daryl Roth Theatre.

Maieutic Theatre Works (MTWorks) supports the development of emerging playwrights. Upcoming works include Johnna Adams' Sans Merci directed by Cristina Alicea. MTWorks is a sponsored project of Fractured Atlas, a non-profit arts service organization.
