Victoria Clark — of Titanic fame — has joined the all-star roster who will take part in Symphony Space's New Voices in a New Space program on Jan. 20, 2003.
Clark joins the previously announced Rebecca Luker, George Dvorsky, Kate Baldwin and Dan Reichard, who will all be a part of the evening presented by the New Composers Collective. Show time is 8 PM at Symphony Space's Leonard Nimoy Thalia.
The singers-actors will perform works by four up-n-coming composers: Sam Davis, Joel Fram, Joshua Rosenblum, and Georgia Stitt. Songs will include tunes from musicals in development as well as American Art Songs and more pop-sounding works.
Victoria Clark created the role of Alice Beane in the Tony Award-winning musical Titanic. Her other Broadway credits include roles in Cabaret, How To Succeed in Business without Really Trying, A Grand Night for Singing and Sunday in the Park with George. Off-Broadway she was seen in Marathon Dancing, and Clark also starred in a regional production of Tina Landau and Ricky Ian Gordon's State of Independence. Her screen credits include "Law & Order," "The Cradle Will Rock," "Aladdin," "Hunchback of Notre Dame" and "Anastasia."
